Frequently Asked Questions

Miamica FAQ

Q. How long has Miamica been in business?

A. Miamica has been in business since 2000. It all started when Devra, our Chief Chica, grew tired of the lack of stylish and functional travel accessories out there.  She decided to take matters into her own hands and created a complete line of fashionable, fun and functional accessories to help organize the contents in your carry-on, suitcase, or handbag.  Along with Design Chica, Allissa, she travels the globe for inspiration and trend, to keep on coming out with new, exciting travel accessories that cater to all style-minded women!

Q. Where does the name come from?

A. Miamica means “my friend” in Italian and our products are meant to be just that, your travel companions while on the go.  Whether it is that weekend getaway or a globetrotting adventure, our wide range of accessories covers all your travel needs.

Q.  Should I be concerned about the Prop 65 warning on your products?

A.  It is completely safe to use our products. The chemical that warning is referring to is phthalates and it is NOT a problem as long as it's not ingested.  It is a California law to have this warning, and virtually all plastic items contain them. It is for your protection that we put this on our product packaging.  You'll find that most travel items have this same warning on their packaging.
